Volunteer

As a brand-new organization, we have a need for all kinds of part-time volunteer help. Do you have skills that can help MetroRiders.Org become operational and effective? Here are some of our immediate needs:

Operational

-Monitors for each of the five Metrorail lines and for Metrobus routes (to let us know when problems go unfixed)-People to meet periodically with Metro operations staffs to discuss solutions to recurrent Metrorail and Metrobus problems (SmarTrip cards, eating/chewing rules, escalators, etc.)-Web page designers-Treasurer/bookkeeper(s) to record donations, expenses

Policy

- Budget analysts to review proposed Metro budgets and to prepare analytical reports for use with local media-Lobbyists to meet with local, state, Federal officials-Media skills to prepare MetroRiders.org press releases, organize press conferences, write action alerts-Writers who can help expand our web site (FAQs, new issues)Contact us at mail@metroriders.org for more information and we’ll get in touch.
