Volunteering
MetroRiders.Org needs all kinds of part-time volunteer help. Do you have skills that can help MetroRiders.Org operations and effectiveness? Here are some of our immediate needs:
Operational
-Monitors for each of the five Metrorail lines and for Metrobus routes (to let us know when problems go unfixed)
-People to meet periodically with Metro operations staffs to discuss solutions to recurrent Metrorail and Metrobus problems (SmarTrip cards, eating/chewing rules, escalators, etc.)
-Web designers and technicians
-Treasurer/bookkeeper(s) to record donations, expenses

- Budget analysts to review proposed Metro budgets and to prepare analytical reports for use with local media
-Lobbyists to meet with local, state, Federal officials
-Media skills to prepare MetroRiders.org press releases, organize press conferences, write action alerts
-Writers who can help expand our web site (FAQs, new issues)
