My initial reaction is that this is more cluttered looking, but I understand the reason for the change and I suspect I'll get used to the new layout in due time.
By "cluttered" I mean, for example, the "Preview Message" button has a different look that the "Reply" button which in turn is a different size than the "New Topic" button. And I'd rather just get rid of the "Current Time" box near the bottom-center of each page along with the "Total time taken to generate the page..." business just below that.
And at the risk being anal, all those dots in and around ".:: Contact :: Home ::." detract from readability, imho.
Just my 2-cents. I feel better now.

phpBB has caused problems here in the past and is historically insecure. FUD is more customizable as well and has a better feature set than phpBB's current version - I will take a look at phpBB 2.2 IF IT IS EVER RELEASED (it's been, what, 3 years now?!!!)
Indeed, I remember the site being "hijacked" a couple times in the past when using phpBB. I've never used FUD so I look forward to getting familiar with it.
Probably the best board system I've seen is Vbulletin . I know the Redskins official web site forums use it, and its really nice. Of course, it costs money, which probably isn't built into the MetroRiders.org budget!

Any particular reason for the change from phpBB to FUD Forum Bulletin Board Software?
Just wondering.
Thanks for your contribution - I agree and will make improvements accordingly...this isn't the final product; buttons take minutes to change.
