This topic might have been broached before, but I couldn't find it.
Anyways, I need to get to BWI, and I was thinking about using the B30, I just wanted to know if anyone here has ridden it, and what their experiences have been.
IE, has it been on time/follow its schedule well? What is the stop at the Greenbelt station like? Any thing else you want to add?
Thank you everyone
B30 is not just for the jet set - it's Metro's wormhole into Baltimore.
Weekends, when MARC is grounded and Amtrak charges up to 8 times as much, you can get to Baltimore by taking the B30 to the airport and transferring to the light rail, which has stops at the inner harbor and downtown. The combined fare is under $5.
Thanks,
I actually already made the trip, and I will echo the sentiment that yes, it did take a while for people to get their luggage in the racks.
I have ridden the B30 since it has started. It is usually on time but does sometimes leave the station late because of people putting their luggage on the racks. Ususally I ride on weekends and it is crowded (not overcrowed but more people than usual). Also the luggage racks take up some of the seating that is on the traditional routes.
The stop at Greenbelt Station is pretty much like any other Metro Station stop.
Great service. I have taken both it and the 5A and find the B30 to generally stick a little better to the schedule.
Surely there is a better way...
