I read in the Examiner that the Board is considering bringing another consultant to study the organization. The last thing the organization needs is another consultant. The place is running over with them now. The last consultant that was brought in under Dick White to examine the pay scale raised the upper management salaries through the roof. Dan got rid of some of these people but many are still here. Advice: get rid of the non-producers and those people who have retired in place. This includes management and union alike. Get rid of the people that Dan brought in who have no transit experience. They add no value to the organization but collect hefty checks. Some of them make more than the people they work for. Urge board members who have been around for 10+ years to retire. Allow the incoming genral manager to get in the door before you start making wholesale changes. Its a shame that the riding public has to pay for metro's mistakes.
